Timing belt kits
Many car manufacturers recommend changing the entire timing system — belt, belt tensioner units, and idler pulleys — at the same time. It’s the only way to ensure optimum belt tension, which is critical for maintaining optimum engine performance.

Timing belt kits with engine seals
For many high-mileage or hard-working vehicles, it makes sense to replace the engine seals when installing a new timing belt. If the old seals were to begin leaking, the customer would reincur installation labour costs. If oil were to leak onto the belt, another new belt could be required.
