The INA brand, part of the Schaeffler Group, was founded in 1946. Today, almost all modern cars contain INA engine and transmission components. These products guarantee improved performance, reduced fuel consumption, lower emissions and greater driving comfort in modern car engines and are characterized by a high level of quality and reliability.
TIMING DRIVE / CHAIN
INA Timing Chain KIT
The timing chain transfers the rotational movement of the crankshaft to the camshaft. However, due to the vibrations that occur, all components in the timing assembly are subject to extreme stress conditions. Over time, these stress conditions can lead to wear and to the elongation of the timing chain.
As all components are designed to work in harmony with one another to ensure frictionless interaction, it is highly recommended to replace the entire system when repairs are required.
INA Timing Chain
From the crankshaft to the camshaft – the timing chain transmits rotational movement and allows all of the pistons and valves to operate together perfectly. Over time, the chain can elongate and valve timing can no longer be maintained with precision. This results in a drop in output and noise from the engine compartment. A timing chain from INA is exactly the right replacement for this – strong and stable, with long service life.
TIMING DRIVE / BELT
INA Timing Belt KIT with Water Pump
The timing drive guarantees the precise combustion process in the engine and guarantees the precise angle drive of the camshaft, which opens and closes the valves at the right time. Prerequisite for consistently accurate “control times” is constant tension of the timing belt with tensioning pulleys and deflection pulleys.
If the belt wears or the belt tension varies the camshaft can also no longer work accurately. The result: The engine no longer runs at full power. In the worst case you can skip teeth, which can even lead to full engine damage.

INA Deflection Pulley
Deflection pulleys must fulfil the same requirements regarding service life and noise development as tensioner pulley systems. They are used to set the belt path according to the space available.
This means collision problems with the adjacent construction are avoided, possible belt vibrations when tightening lengths are too large are controlled and the circumferential angle on the aggregates or belt pulleys is increased.
